India Post has announced a massive recruitment drive for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions across various postal circles. This recruitment includes roles such as Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for these positions:
Educational Qualification: A 10th standard pass certificate with Mathematics and English from a recognized board under the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories.
Age Limit: The minimum age requirement is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years. Age relaxations will apply as per government rules.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100 for general category candidates.
Female candidates, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants are exempted from the fee.
Payments can be made through online modes, including credit/debit cards, net banking, and UPI.
Eligible candidates should ensure they complete the application process before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a merit list, which will be prepared considering the marks obtained in the 10th standard. If grades or points are awarded, they will be converted into a percentage with an accuracy of four decimal places.
The list of shortlisted candidates will be published online, and they will also be notified via SMS about further steps, including document verification.
Salary Structure
The selected candidates will receive a salary under the Time-Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) system, which includes an annual increment of 3%. The pay scale is as follows:
Branch Postmaster (BPM): ₹12,000 – ₹29,380 per month
Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month
